C-Hust (born Charles Buko in Ann Arbor, Michigan on July 2nd 1984) is an American rapper signed to record label, Hit-A-Lik Entertainment.
Background
Charles "Charlie" Buko was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Youngest son of American parents, Buko traveled the globe as a child, living in Europe and Asia. After temporarily settling in Las Vegas, Buko returned to Ann Arbor in 1993. Once back in Michigan, Buko spent nearly every weekend at his grandmother's house in Lincoln Park as his pre-teen and adolescent years were riddled with behavioral problems. After moving out on his 18th birthday Buko founded Hit-A-Lik Entertainment signing Dotoz and Young Frizz while creating music with Drew Money, and opening for the likes of Obie Trice, Twista and D12.
Music
At 19 Buko moved to New York City in pursuit of Rap music. Spotted at a Manhattan talent showcase in 2003 by KD Wilson (sister of Grammy Award winning producer Bryce Wilson, Czar Entertainment) Buko was fortunate enough to have his first single "Runnin' Game" recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered by Speez Tha Don (King Day Records).
In 2005 Buko moved to White Plains NY to finish a B.A. in Media at SUNY Purchase. At SUNY Buko created, produced, directed and hosted the most popular program in the history of Purchase Television "The Charles Buko Show."
In 2006 Buko appeared on MTV in a freestyle battle judged by Cipha Soundz and Ludacris. Declared winner by Cipha Soundz, Youtube "fame" ensued.
C-Hust mixtape releases include the critically acclaimed "Michigania: Stunt Or Die" (2007).
Street and internet buzz surround his upcoming original album release "The Charles Buko EP." Exclusively produced by the Grammy nominated Drew Money (who's production credits include Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Jay-Z) "The Charles Buko EP" is slated for a Fall 2009 release.
